Who can register for courses offered through the network?

All postgraduate students of the network’s partner universities who have a valid doctoral study right at their home university can register for the courses. In addition to the valid study right, the student must be registered as attending at their home university. Before registering for the course, please check that the doctoral study right of your home university is valid until the completion of the course.

When is registration open?

Detailed registration times are announced on the Courses page of this website. Registration for either one or more courses is done by filling out the university-specific form. Each partner university has its own registration forms. The forms can be found in each university’s own section on the Courses page along with the course offering.

How do you register for the courses?

All requested information must be provided on the registration form. Special attention should be paid to the validity of the social security number and the e-mail address used for registration. The declared e-mail address must be the e-mail address of your home university.

1. Please check that you are eligible to enroll in the course.
2. Fill in the registration form.
3. Once you have received a user ID for the host university, register for the course in accordance with the host university’s policies.

After registering with the target university’s form, the student is granted the right to study at the target university. Once the right to study has been granted, the student receives user IDs for the target university’s necessary systems, such as Peppi or Sisu. User IDs also grant access to the target university’s library databases.

After receiving the user IDs, the student must still register for the course or courses in the study information system of the target university in accordance with the practices of the target university. Course registration must be done within the registration period indicated in the study information system of the target university. After the course registration is completed, the course teacher accepts the students for the course.

On what basis are students selected for the course? What are the prerequisites for completing the courses?

In principle, the network’s courses are such that all those who register are accepted for the courses. However, some courses may have restrictions on the number of students, which affect how many students can be selected for the course through the network. You should check the course-specific selection criteria for each course.

It’s important for the student to think about their own qualifications to complete the course before registering for the course. Some courses may also have prerequisites for previous studies. Please check the qualifications in the course information.

How to cancel registration?

If the course has no restrictions on the number of students, you do not necessarily need to cancel your registration. Some courses offered through the network may have restrictions on the number of students accepted through the network. If you are prevented from participating in a course with a student limit, you must cancel your registration. Registration is canceled either from the target university’s study information system while registration for the course is still open, or after the registration period has ended by notifying the responsible teacher of the course that you will not participate in the course.

How do you get a performance mark for a completed course?

When the student has successfully completed the course, the performance is recorded in the study information system of the target university. In order for the student to get credit for the course they completed at their home university, the student must download a transcript from the study information system of the target university and submit the transcript to their home university. You should download the transcript as soon as possible after the performance has been entered into the target university’s system. Check your own university’s guidelines regarding credits.

Kuka voi ilmoittautua verkoston kautta tarjolla oleville kursseille?

Kursseille voi ilmoittautua verkoston kumppaniyliopistojen kaikki jatkotutkinto-opiskelijat, joilla on voimassa oleva jatko-opinto-oikeus omassa kotiyliopistossa. Voimassa olevan jatko-opinto-oikeuden lisäksi opiskelijan tulee olla ilmoittautunut läsnäolevaksi omaan kotiyliopistoon. Ennen opintojaksolle ilmoittautumista tarkista, että kotiyliopiston jatko-opinto-oikeus riittää ajallisesti opintojakson suorittamiselle.

Milloin ilmoittautuminen on avoinna?

Tarkemmat ilmoittautumisajat ilmoitetaan tämän sivuston Kurssit-sivulla. Ilmoittautuminen joko yhdelle tai useammalle kurssille tapahtuu täyttämällä yliopistokohtainen lomake. Jokaisella kumppaniyliopistolla on omat ilmoittautumislomakkeet. Lomakkeet löytyvät kunkin yliopiston omasta osiosta Kurssit-sivulta kurssitarjonnan yhteydestä.

Kuinka kursseilla ilmoittaudutaan?

Ilmoittautumislomakkeella on ilmoitettava kaikki pyydetyt tiedot. Erityistä huomiota tulee kiinnittää ilmoittautumisessa käytettävän sähköpostiosoitteen ja henkilötunnuksen oikeellisuuteen. Ilmoitettavan sähköpostiosoitteen tulee olla oman kotiyliopiston sähköpostiosoite.

1. Tarkista, että olet kelpoinen ilmoittautumaan kurssille.
2. Täytä ilmoittautumislomake.
3. Kun olet saanut kohdeyliopistoon käyttäjätunnuksen, ilmoittaudu kurssille kohdeyliopiston käytäntöjen mukaisesti.

Lomakeilmoittautumisen jälkeen opiskelijalle myönnetään opinto-oikeus kohdeyliopistoon. Kun opinto-oikeus on myönnetty, saa opiskelija käyttäjätunnukset kohdeyliopiston tarvittaviin järjestelmiin, kuten Peppiin tai Sisuun. Käyttäjätunnuksilla on myös pääsy kohdeyliopiston kirjaston tietokantoihin.

Käyttäjätunnukset saatuaan opiskelijan tulee vielä tehdä varsinainen ilmoittautuminen kurssille tai kursseille kohdeyliopiston opintotietojärjestelmässä kohdeyliopiston käytäntöjen mukaisesti. Kurssi-ilmoittautuminen on tehtävä kohdeyliopiston opintotietojärjestelmässä ilmoitetun ilmoittautumisajan puitteissa. Kurssi-ilmoittautumisen päätyttyä kurssin opettaja hyväksyy opiskelijat kurssille.

Millä perusteilla opiskelijat valitaan kurssille? Millaisia edellytyksiä kurssien suorittamiselle on?

Lähtökohtaisesti verkoston kurssit ovat sellaisia, että kaikki ilmoittautuneet hyväksytään kursseille. Joillakin kursseilla saattaa kuitenkin olla opiskelijamäärärajoituksia, jotka vaikuttavat siihen, kuinka monta opiskelijaa kurssille voidaan verkoston kautta valita. Kurssikohtaiset valintaperusteet kannattaa tarkistaa kurssikohtaisesti.

Opiskelijan on tärkeää miettiä omia valmiuksiaan suorittaa kurssi ennen kurssille ilmoittautumista. Joillakin kursseilla voi olla myös suosituksia aikaisemmista opinnoista. Suositukset kannattaa tarkistaa kurssien tiedoista.

Kuinka ilmoittautuminen perutaan?

Mikäli kurssilla ei ole opiskelijamäärärajoituksia, ei ilmoittautumista tarvitse välttämättä perua. Joillakin verkoston kautta tarjolla olevilla kursseilla voi olla rajoituksia siinä, kuinka monta opiskelijaa verkoston kautta otetaan. Mikäli olet estynyt osallistumaan kurssille, jossa on opiskelijamääräraja, tulee ilmoittautuminen perua. Ilmoittautuminen perutaan joko kohdeylipiston opintotietojärjestelmästä ilmoittautumisen ollessa kurssille vielä auki tai ilmoittautumisajan päätyttyä ilmoittamalla kurssin vastuuopettajalle, ettei osallistu kurssille.

Kuinka suoritetusta kurssista saa suoritusmerkinnän?

Kun opiskelija on suorittanut kurssin hyväksytysti, kirjautuu suoritus kohdeyliopiston opintotietojärjestelmään. Jotta opiskelija saa hyväksiluettua suorittamansa kurssin omassa kotiyliopistossaan, tulee opiskelijan ladata kohdeyliopiston opintotietojärjestelmästä opintosuoritusote ja toimittaa suoritusote omaan kotiyliopistoonsa. Suoritusote kannattaa ladata mahdollisimman pian sen jälkeen, kun suoritus on kirjautunut kohdeyliopiston järjestelmään. Tarkista oman yliopistosi ohjeistus hyväksilukuasioihin liittyen.
